You will get the best advice by looking at your nation's official travel advice (or UK/French/US if your nation does not publish advice).

e.g.. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/congo

The major western powers share security intelligence and the larger powers will also have liaison officers in Brazzaville talking directly with local security officials, and will also have statistics on incidents involving westerners and be monitoring situation by other means too.

Brazzaville is fairly secure and stable as far as Africa goes. There is a bit of uneasiness in the air in the aftermath of last years elections. More police/military about than in past years, but really nothing unsafe about the place. Mikhaels or Ledger Hotel are the places to be

We operate a scheduled service into Brazzaville with an overnight stay. We stay in the Radisson Blu M'Bamou Palace hotel, with no complaints.
Just be cautious if you use Kinshasa as your alternative.
Historically there have been tensions between the two Congo's. Things however have calmed down recently and flights are now permitted between the two countries. This however remains a volatile part of Africa

Lived and worked on contract flying there for the last 5 years no real issues.
Stay at the Radisson. Some reasonable restaurants a bit pricy though.
