Gents,

What's it like to live in the BVI?? I'm European and soon moving there, I'm all excited about it and would like some info on cost of living, transportation etc.

Thanx a bunch,

If you're earning US$20,000 per month, not much is expensive. If you're earning US$2 per annum, you may look on things differently!

Put it this way - BVI are not much more expensive than many places in the Caribbean, and less expensive than many.

Does that answer your question?

Above was correct, its a place for folks with lots of Duckets. You pretty much have to be a local to live cheap and it wont be quality. It would be easier to live in the U.S. side and visit.
On the other hand if your going to work in the BVI, Im sure you can get your employer to cut through all the BS to get a place to flop at a reasonable rate.
Its sort of like day and night between the US and the BVI. Your not going to find any fast food or cheap stores in Road Town.
Consider also folks who own Islands in the BVI. Richard Branson Owns Necker, AMWAY Corp owns Peter Island, and so on. Some very deep pockets there being served in luxury and with a smile by many with very empty pockets.
