I've been reading numerous pages but I still haven't clarified things about FAA/EASA licences. I have no right of abode in US nor EU nor Australia therefore I'm only interested in (at least theoretical) possibilities in Africa/Asia. EASA licence as such is of no use to me for the job in Europe but does it give better job chances in other parts of the world than FAA's one?

I'm mostly confused with the FAA CPL/ME/IR certificate.

1. When can one take ATP exams? - right after obtaining a certificate of after building 1500 hours?
2. What jobs and where (which country - Africa, Asia etc...) a non-US citizen with no right of abode in US can theoretically find? Does EASA fATPL still gives better chances in those, non-EASA states?
3. Is there a difference in type rating requirements? I.e. FFA states TR is required for any aircraft over 12,500 lbs MGTOW and/or with a turbojet powerplant? Is the weight limit the same for EASA licence?
4. How does Canadian licence compare to those two?

Thanks guys and forgive my ignorance.
