Hi Folks, we have just changed our Datalink provider from Universal to GDC and now having some issues as not all features are accessed in the same manner.

So, how do you send an email from the "Datalink- Create Message" page? It isn't the same way as UV

Also...any advice on how to send for an oceanic clx if you are using a flight number and no the registration/ Tail number?

Aircraft is a GLEX but I guess all platforms are similar.

If you send me an email via PM I can forward you the GDC manual that explains how to message, request clearances etc. for the BD700 as it is quite different than other Honeywell FMS's.

Hi MB,

Thanks, we have the manual already and although it says you can send emails, it does not go so far into explaining how to format it (unless you contact GDC to set them up with shortcut Alias's)

as for Oceanic clearances. It says that if you are using a flight number, you don't request it from the normal DATALINK-INFLIGHT-OCEANIC CLX menu but rather by sending the request via CREATE MESSAGE page but there is no info about adding the data to the request i.e. FL/Entry Point/ ETA/ Mach number

Hi Brew,

All our Oceanic clearances are done under our registration, no flight number, so we use first procedure not the Create Message page, and all our email addresses are setup with GDC so i am not much help. recommend calling GDC for their assistance.
