Not a forces member, but asking a question.
I visited Bridlington in Nth Yorks on New years Day, last time I was there was around 55-60 years ago. I seem to remember an operational RAF Rescue launch being stationed in the harbour at that time. Is it my imaginiation or was there one there around that time

This link may be of interest to you
Air Sea Rescue And Marine Craft Section Club (http://www.asrmcs-club.com/welcome.htm)
It lists plaque locations and shows one at Bridlington Harbour Masters Office which obviously marks the time a unit was based there.

I certainly remember it being there at some time in 1965, when we had to do our wet dinghy drills during ab initio pilot training at Church Fenton.

I remember it as a lad when I was on Holiday 60-67 ish, seeing the helicopter out in the bay practicing with the launch.

When I was there a few years ago I think the launch slip and maintenance building had been converted/rebuilt to a restaurant etc.
