Article in the Telegraph today.

easyJet are to decide shortly whether to re-locate its empire to Stansted or stay at Luton, but within new accomodation. The decision will be based upon the price and subsidies on offer.

easyJet are hoping that with the closure of the Vauxhall manufacturing plant recently, that government subsidies will be in place to help unemployment.

Interestingly, the article also quotes the easy boss as stating that "In the long term, more of easyJet's operations are likely to migrate to Stansted because there's more capacity there. So we would expect some sort of deal to keep the head office at Luton."

More capacity...........He must know something about a new runway in Essex then? Stansted is currently already over subscribed for slots at key times during the day!

Another gun at TBI's head?

Oh well, there is always Ciao-Fly to boost capacity at Luton!

Surely if EZY wanted to stay at LTN, they could take over the old BAL building when they turn their lights off. Ultimately though as far as the airport is concerned, it will always be a glorified flying club........ A rail link that requires a bus ride to get to the airport itself, security queues as long as those found in poor supermarkets, and still no full length parallel taxi way. Come on LTN, get your finger out - your being left behind.

Add to all of this the serious proposal of not one, but 2 additional runways for Stansted means that Luton will squeezed tightly.

Shame really.

One the subject of a bus from the station to the terminal, this journey only takes 5 min outside of the rush hours, much quicker than walking from the undergrouind station at Heathrow to Term 1, 2 and 3.

Central London to check in, within 60 min, not bad eh?

Ciao for now!
