My DAME of many years is retiring - Dr Miller in Como (if anyone here knows him, he's a great bloke) - and I obviously need to find someone else, preferably south of the river or city.

Does anyone have a recommendation? Last time I picked a name out of the hat, I had a none-too-pleasant experience, so just looking for a friendly doctor for a Class 1 with an interest in aviation (because not all DAME's seem to be interested in the trade) who doesn't gouge their clients.

Post or PM would be appreciated. Thanks.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Brian Collings in Canning Vale. He also is/was an RFDS doctor so he's actively involved in aviation.

Thanks for the replies (and PMs) so far. Seems like Dr Collings is recommended by a few here, but still happy for other recommendations as a back-up.

Problem with good, experienced DAMEs is ... they retire!
Now I've lost two really good DAMEs in the last few years (and Dr Miller's location was ultra convenient, too).
Do you know what date Dr Miller is retiring?

Apologies in advance to everyone ... Dr Collings is sure to announce his impending retirement the moment I start going to him! :ouch:

Any day now (sometime before Christmas I was told).

Any recommendations for a good DAME north of CBD in northern corridor who is not gouging his aviation applicants would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks :ok:

I was looking for other pilot-DAMEs to start a service but there just aren't enough!
