Given the birth of Baby, its probably not the greatest piece of prophecy ever that predicts a gradual transfer of the existing bmi regional routes out of EMA to the low-cost arm. Probably EDI & GLA in the first instance and then BFS and AMS to follow.

If accepted as a likely scenario, where does that leave the bmi regional operation. How many -145s would be released from EMA if ops did switch to Baby? How many more Embraers are scheduled for delivery? How would all of these a/c be utilised?

Growth ex-LBA is a possibility, but is no doubt dependant on the availability of suitable slots in Germany and Copenhagen. Flying Star alliance routes on behalf of LH and SAS out of MAN is another option. However, that aside, not too many possibilities spring to mind without incurring the costs of establishing a new base somewhere.
