Just caught snippets of a Qantas aircraft relaying for an aircraft with 2 POB that had declared a mayday call due to an engine failure in the Birdsville area. Didn't get callsign. Qantas gave last known co-ords, also said they had an epirb as well as a satphone on board. Last call I heard to Centre was that they had landed safely.
