Anybody here who has had a firsthand experience of the Indigo cadet program?
I was looking at the various options available currently to become a commercial pilot in India and this looks the safest.
Have all the students from the previous batches been placed?

Employment in aviation is never safe in any country, it is always dependent on economic forces, and that is unpredictable.

Having said that the CAE National Flying Training Institute in Gondia is a better route than some of the other Indigo approved providers. Example: Having a 2nd country license, such as New Zealand, that other providers boast to get your business, is useless unless you are a rich kid that wants to fly New Zealand registered aircraft after you fly for IndiGo.

Also at CAE / NFTI every hour logged will be pure, such as your solo cross country time will be truly solo, you will have to be very competent to proceed, not with a Flight Instructor sitting next to you to keep you safe.

The idea that paying your money guarantees that you will pass and get your license in India is something the folks at NFTI just don't do but if you stick with it and work hard you will get through, and your license will actually mean something too.

Good luck...
