Hello all,

Was on my Met studies and found something confusing.
Here goes:

Why is there always a low pressure area or system around the triple point?

My understanding is that warmer air in the warm sector is being lifted by the replacing cold air. warm air is then being lifted. Not sure about whether this assumption is correct or not.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers and good weather to all :)
