He was hardly up front alone.
All seems very strange

A flying expert said that doing such acts while flying is 'very dangerous'

While flying - was he pilot-in-command at the time? I hadn't realised that was the real meaning of "Handling Pilot"...

Does this mean he was alone in the cockpit^h^h^h^h^h^h^h flight deck?

Stewards and stewardesses were seen downing bottles of champagne and red wine in front of stunned onlookers in First and Club premium cabins on a flight from London to Washington.

Passengers said the BA staff began screaming and shouting 'like spoiled brats'. Some reported them kissing and 'heavy petting'.
Oh, dear!
Are they accepting applications? Where's my CV?

The snaps, believed to be taken on at least two different planes, show the stocking-clad figure with his legs up on the steering controls, while others include a man exposing himself in the toilets, and a pornographic magazine on the dashboard.

In order for me to avoid any future 'misunderstandings', how exactly, am I supposed to do my business in the toilet without exposing myself? The one thing more dangerous than a rogue airline pilot is an ill-educated Daily Mail journalist.

Stuff does happen in 'airlines from that region', but it is swept under the carpet very well to protect the brand. I have seen enough ;-)

Airline expert Chris Yates told the Sun: 'This is very dangerous if the plane is in mid-flight.

'If you are flying, you can fly into serious turbulence.'

Thanks for that great advice Mr Airline Expert.

Pleasuring yourself in turbulence. Is that a good or bad thing? Could the turbulence not add to the experience?

BA may want to reconsider the ban they have on husbands and wives flying in same cockpit. Make sure they at least 10 years married, no way there would be any hanky panky going on...........................anywhere.

Well, it looks like the Sun is claiming that they alerted BA:

Captain Colin Glover, 51, was removed from flying duties after we alerted bosses to a series of sordid images seemingly shot in a Boeing 777 on a long-haul flight.

Article with bowdlerized pictures here:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/2077203/ba-pilot-suspended-over-alleged-cockpit-sex-photos-in-stockings-taken-at-38000-feet/

One of the aircraft registrations looks like G-YMMB, a B-772. Another possible registration is G-VIIB, another B-772.

You might want to wipe down the yoke and throttles if you are flying these aircraft.

You can't say he's a prevert, he has the right to express his sexuality, the company must accommodate his disability etc., etc., etc...

For the cows wearing nappies one - not exactly but the effect of the fertilizer ban on hillsides above a certain gradient was indeed supposedly that cows would have to wear nappies to stop their dung being dropped as it is regarded as fertilizer.
Or of course simply not put the cows on such pastures anymore
Farmer makes cows wear NAPPIES after EU bans fertilisers on steep hillsides - Mirror Online (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/farmer-makes-cows-wear-nappies-4405582)
I suppose the EU rapidly rowed back from that one so goodnes know what happened to the hill farmers of Germany.

The Acres ban is quite clear cut.
The exemption that allows pints and miles and acres to be used in official documents was modified to remove the exemption for Acres.
So indeed all official documents must now use Hectares.
Any sale documents which want to quote acres must also quote Hectares.
The EU even confirms this is the case here:
Acres outlawed by Brussels - European Commission (http://blogs.ec.europa.eu/ECintheUK/acres-outlawed-by-brussels-2/)

The milk jug ban was indeed a fabrication - however the 2013 proposed ban on plain olive oil jugs in restaurants was not. Apparently they were to be in the original tamper proof factory packaging they came in. The resulting outrage in Southern Europe had the EU rapidly changing course on this one and kicking it into the long grass forever. So not surprisingly this one does not appear on the list.

I cannot get my head around the fact that this is genuine and not shot in a sim as some sort of prank?
How he would get enough time alone to get to that state of dress without the FO walking in and having a fit ? surely it must be a prank shot in a ground based sim

Well according to the Sun, "airline expert" Chris Yates says it's definitely a real flight deck and not a sim.

He also helpfully tells us that spanking the monkey on the flight deck while dressed in women's stockings "is very dangerous if the plane is in mid-flight".

He was taking the photos?

But in all seriousness, you can see the red line on the captain's leg where the sock elastic was just recently, so it couldn't have been all that long. Kick off the shoes and socks and remove pants. Snap photo.

The scary part is the guy planned this in advance and came to work wearing the stockings. I could understand if it was just a spur of the moment thing, but this?

You presume the FO was a HE

Yes, of course I do. Whenever I try these types of things with women around, it doesn't go over so well. I can only draw on my own experience.

How many lbs of force on the yoke does it take to disengage A/P on the 777? That's the only thing I'd be worried about, with his feet on it. On certain smaller aircraft you can just engage the mechanical gust lock and no real worries when engaging in mischief. So I have heard...

Incidentally, I would refer back to the heading of this thread .... was the pilot suspended for wearing stockings (no pun intended but enjoy it if you like) or was it because of his actions when wearing them?

I know that the BA interview is tough but it looks like I will at least be able to score extra points by being honest with my hobbies...

While the video is cut short, I would assume that BA's response will be same with...."I'm afraid that golf is not very popular around here".

Well, I'd rather not imagine it. However, the company needs to tread very carefully on this one.

Crossdressers and others with 'alternating lifestyles' have been able to position themselves as victims of discrimination in recent years.

And, if you say that anything of a sexual nature is abnormal these days, you are asking for a lawsuit.

Consider this sympathetic media portrayal of a male pax who wears ladies undergarments while traveling:

PHOENIX -- A man who flies US Airways in women's skimpy clothing, including little more than undergarments at times, said Wednesday that he does so to make business travel more fun, and complies with employees' requests to cover up - though they rarely ask.

The 65-year-old Phoenix man, who spoke to The Chronicle on the condition that his name not be published, said he was unaware that a photo taken of him wearing ladies' blue underwear and black stockings at the airport in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on June 9 had thrust him into a debate about racial profiling, travelers' security and appropriate airline attire.

The man said he works as a business consultant and flies several times a month as a preferred customer on US Airways. He's flown in scanty female clothing for several years and has put on a sweater or pants the few times an employee has asked, he said.

'I have the right'

"It has never been my intent to put people in a situation where they feel uncomfortable," the man said during a phone interview. "I try to respect other people's opinions. As long as my dress is not indecent from a legal perspective, and so long as the airline does not object, I have the right to wear what I wear. And others have the right to wear what they want to wear."

If the matter is simply cross dressing that's one thing, but this guy has his cock out in the flightdeck, pleasuring himself and documented himself doing such. Regardless of the phase of flight, that's a complete/whole other story altogether. I'd say the red line was crossed a while back.

As a member of the Health and Welfare Department of a pilot's union, I am concerned that he should have worn support (compression) hose. Compression hose (support stockings) are a proven deterrent to high altitude embolism and edema.
