Pilot license in Australia?

Hi I've been looking in to the various routes to obtain an ATPL (and the associated costs) but was wondering if anyone has gotten their licence in Australia? Just wondered if it is cheaper? Any advice would be brilliant

With the Australian dollar and the UK pound, as it is no. Best option is to do combined FAA/EASA course in the states, its easily converted to Australia down the track
