Hello

Does anybody has an idea what kind of formula APG is using to calculate accelerate stop distance required on light twins when there is no such a data in AFM and sometimes this distance may limit you for takeoff especially on short wet rwy's ?

For all runway performance calculations, APG uses published AFM/POH data. Though it's not required by FAR 23.55 or 23.1587 for multi-engine piston airplanes under 6,000 lbs, the C-310, BE-76 Duchess, PA-34 Seneca and PA-44 Seminole all have ASD charts published in their respective POHs. I don't know about other light twins or on older airplanes "owners manuals". Note that the published ASDs for the above referred airplanes are for a DRY hard surface runway only. For landing distance calculations on large turbine powered airplanes, a default 15% additive is applied for a WET runway if it wasn't flight tested, but I don't think that's realistic without anti-skid protection.

I have found that any questions regarding APG data are answered most accurately and completely by APG themselves. In my experience they have been very helpful and accommodating with their customers.
