It is with sadness that we report the passing of Jerry McGrath (ex Sgt AAC) aged 67 (15 Feb 49 – 7 Oct 16) after a period of illness. A Northern Irishman who joined the AAC from the Queen’s Royal Irish hussars in 1975. He served with 657 Squadron and had postings in Northern Ireland, Germany, Hong Kong, Brunei and the Falklands before retirement in 1983. His funeral will be held at 1440 at Southport Crematorium, Southport Road PR8 5JQ on 18 Oct 16. Our thoughts are with his family, particularly his children, Sarah and James.
Mourners are invited to Master McGraths Restaurant (no relations) for approximately 3.15-3.30pm. The address is Southport Road, Scarisbrick, L40 9RF.
