Florida Flyers package inclusions (confused) ???

Hi !

Well I've been checking out a lot of schools from California and Florida for the past few weeks. So far based on all the reviews from different posts and forums, seems like the best so far is Flight Safety Academy -- BUT way too expensive.

So I stumbled upon Florida Flyers as -probably- the next most reputable one in those two states (if you have other recommendations that would be great). Already read through the following schools: Aerosim, Hillsboro, Phoenix East, California Flight Academy, ATP, Panam, Flight Corona, Mazzei... but have seen some negative reviews.

JUST WONDERING, what are the basic, standard inclusions in every full pilot career program that they might have mentioned here ? That I would then need to pay further, and expenses might just pile up...

Are the parenthetical numbers quantities or do they refer to notes? The title refers to "250 Hour Commercial Single and Multi Engine" yet the list doesn't include single engine commercial. If your initial Commercial is multi-engine, that requires a lot of ME cross country time - expensive.


Assuming single engine for initial Commercial and then adding on ME, you will require four check rides (Private, IFR, single engine commercial, ME engine commercial), and three written exams (Private, IFR, Commercial).


The list of inclusions does not list any single engine complex aircraft, so perhaps SE is an add on with ME as the initial.


If you assumed everything was free except the flying, the flying averages out to $156/hour. That figure does down if you make allowances for written tests (~$450 for three?), checkrides (~$1600 for four(?)), plus all the ground school and 1:1 instruction.


$38,900 is an unbelievable number. Not as in "That's a great price, I can't believe it's such a good deal" but rather "I don't believe you can really do it for that price."

ATP is a way better, never heard anything good about Florida Flyers from REAL people. But quit a lot of the opposite.
Positive are only faked 5* blog entries.
Nowadays you get a lot of fake news, reviews on the net.

Florida Flyers is a local school, but I don't any anything about them. The local school that I am familiar with, and know the owner, is Florida Aviation Career Training. Florida Aviation Career Training, Inc. (http://www.florida-aviation.com/) They have a good reputation here. The owner is from Norway.

I did my training from private throughout cpl sep/me/IR with florida-flyers. I didn't go for this package, but one thing I can assure, they are fantastic!! I have no complaint about the school. They are based at Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St Augustine. Great Class D airport with a near by uncontrollable airfield called Palatka where normally I used to practice most of my landing and take offs. Also there are a lot of airfields around foe instrument approaches such as Craig Airport, Jacksonville International, Cecil, Ocala, Gainesville, Daytona and others.

i’m looking for EASA ATO flight schools in the US.
From what I saw, there are few schools I’m considering:
1) Florida Flyers
2) EFT (European Flight Training)
3) American Aviation Academy in El Cajon California

I don’t know about any other schools EASA ATO..
could you please help me? I’d love to know your experiences and reviews.
