We recently purchased a pair of O/H P&W R985 engines (US $ 90,000) from Sun Air Parts for our Beech 18 based in NZ. We shipped the old units back to Sun to recover the core deposits.
Sun are now refusing point blank to accept the cores due to a "new requirement" (since 30th June 2016) which requires an ISF firm to be completed in advance of shipping the units (in this case from NZ).
Our NZ shippers have never heard of this (new) requirement 😖😖
Anyone out there had problems like this ??? Sun's CEO refusing 100% to assist but then they get to keep the core deposit eh ?? 😫😫😫
PS the Tulsa O/H engines are really great !!
