How to become a commercial pilot

Hi my name is Shahzad Ali, and i am currently studying in the last year of a multimedia degree. I am also training for my commercial pilots license (part-time). For my final year project i am putting together an information pack that should be easy reading (comparing to what is available through the CAA), for future student pilots. This information pack will help future pilots understand what is needed, and how they can go about in order to achieve their goal of one day becoming a commercial pilot.
I would appreciate it extremely if i could get any pointers or tips on what other bits of information you would like to see in this pack

What would be most useful is a breakdown
as to what jobs pilots on the CAA register
hold..

There are well over 10,000 of them

i.e. CAA ATPL/CPL holders what percentage of these work for an airline?

What percentage are still flying GA etc

The CAA know this information because when they do the medical renewals they collect data on pilot hours and employment - odly enough this information is not in the public domain!! Why is this??
