Just a quick question on altimetry errors: am I right in assuming that in the case of high pressure and low temperatures below ISA, the pressure error affects the altimeter more than the temperature error does?

It depends how high the pressure is and how low the temperature is.

A 1 C temperature deviation from ISA changes density altitude by 120ft, a 1 hPa pressure deviation changes it by 30ft. Since they don't have the same units (comparing apples to oranges), as Alex says: it depends.
