Courier Mail has a short report that someone landed with the dunlops tucked away, a little earlier this afternoon. No details re aircraft.

Plane Lands at Caboolture Following Mid-Air Drama
Sounds serious based on the reports of the tabloid type news heading.

For me, 'Mid-Air' conjures up images of aircraft contacting inflight.

Should that be 'in-air' drama.

They certainly had enough 'Appliances' there!.

Totally, totally off topic of course, but it is interesting to see the aviation business lost by Archerfield airport in it's quest to become a non aviation commercial environment:

Quite sad really. I recall when Archerfield was a thriving hub of aviation maintenance, GA, flying training etc in the late 1980s, but even then with the FAC the end was in sight.

As spinex said, the wheels-up landing happened at YBCG. It landed right in the middle of the runway, not Terminal Drive. Happened at about 1020 am and closed the airport for about an hour. Something to watch while I drank my coffee.
