After a serious (and upsetting tbh) issue with a lost logbook- now found- I read the whole thing cover to cover. Because of his scrawl, and my fading memory, I can't recall who was the Officer Commanding at the time. Any ideas? Thanks.

Gulf Flyer, pretty sure it was TS then, if RH (Data 7) followed him. He was in charge when we started.

As Chinny OCU says Tim was the boss when I went through on the Chinny side in Feb 82. Could your elusive signature be Harry's who was the white tornado well known for hunting?

Yep TS would meet the scrawl shape. Can't ever recall seeing the bloke- newly minted DE, quiet anyway, head down, pass the course- probably why. Though, he didn't attend the course grad ceremony either! Colin Reineck gave me my badge. Thanks guys.

Tim Seabrook was in charge of the Puma and Chinook OCU. And S.Ldr Donaldson was in charge of the Wessex and Puma OCU

CG, CR was station commander at that time.
(In response to your earlier question I was in Germany then, getting lots of hours leading formations so I could come back later and teach you younger lot how to do it properly).;)

Shy, I think we've confirmed Tim Seabrook as the guilty party. With his handwriting, he was wasted in the RAF- shoulda been a doctor! I reckon you left Gut soon after I arrived. I started using soap soon after, and a few people stayed around a bit longer!

Ahh the Station Commander... arrives at the new electric gate that had been installed in a temporary CO's mini, as he drives through due to the height of the box and the low mini roof he does not see the guard salute, so he reverses back up to ask why the guard hadn't saluted ( which he had ) unfortunately the barrier is already on its way down and needs to complete the cycle before it can be raised again........ crunch.. straight down on his roof pinning his car to the spot.
