Hi

I am a international student considering take FAA part 141 professional training.

A friend of mine who is taking the training shared his case that make me confused:

Right after his Private pilot EOC, he started his commercial ground school without integrating his hours to IACRA nor any temporary certificate. His school is doing this to reduce training expenses and push their schedule. But I've inquired several schools, they all replied part 141 students are required to follow school syllabus to complete course/rating/written/docs to proceed to next.

I wonder is this in compliance with part 141 Appx.B or Appx.D. Could anyone explained this more detailed ?

Appreciated.

Every 141 school's syllabus is individually approved, so no two schools necessarily have the same syllabus. As long as the FAA approves it, you can have any sequence of training you like. Do you know what this school's approved syllabus requires?

I realized that every 141 school use different syllaba ; but without certifying proper temporary certificate to student but proceed them to next stage, will that expose student in certain risk due to those legal docs things ? Just curious. Cause some Asian airlines specifically require part 141 training with a official training records ensure students meet average levels and violations.

Honestly we don't have enough information to give you a credible answer.
A lot of schools use commercially available syllabi for their 141 courses.
Jeppesen or from some other training provider.

I asked my friend for more details:

He is taking training and the school uses own syllabus (141 approved);
The package is basically PPL>IR rating > Commercial.

According to my friend, the school always like to recruit student as many as possible by offering shorter program. The school just pushes students complete PPL then to commercial ground school or IR simulator without have them complete PPL paperworks instead of increase staff and fleets.

My concern is , will it violate Part 141 appendix C and D when school pushes students to commercial or IFR rating ? Those students might not meet the eligibility of appx. C and D cause they don't even complete PPL paperworks not mention a temporary document.

I appreciate your time explaining before enrollment, it is difficult to get help for international student if a school involving in federal violation. They always take our tuition and disappear.
