To the four chaps that just flew over my caravan in South West Scotland (just on the coast by Gatehouse of Fleet)

Thank you so much. You have made not only my day, but also my kid's day, and the other kids on the site.

Best part was the barrel roll by the lead aircraft.

We don't see enough of this anymore.

Only had one Tucano fly up the valley and one Herc pass at about 1500' in last 10 days.

Please feel free to call over this way more often!

Cheers!

If you tell everyone he was doing barrel rolls you need to clarify that it wasn't at low level or I'm afraid you won't be seeing many more!

Glad you enjoyed it though (it wasn't me).

Rather hear a couple of Tonkas than all that horrible racket from the Auchrnlarie Sports Bar.

I used to love being there round JW time. Highlights included a load of lads in the back of a C130 as they came past at window height. Also the jet pilot - type Unamed so as not to get him in bother - who after a chat here, came back in his jet to say hello.

Happy days. Thank you
..

Lived in Castle Douglas for a couple of years prior to joining up and worked on farm very close to the range near Kirkcudbright. Regularly saw aircraft various, always impressive and perhaps played some part in my decision to enlist.

Clarification: It didn't look like low level to me, and it could have just been a steep turn.

Fortunately we are well away from Auchenlaire.

I've been coming up here for 35 years and have seen myriad types.

Harriers, Jags, Buccs, F1-11's, F15's.

Always welcome.

You haven't painted a large white X or T on your roof, have you? Or a nice big triangle with a dot oin the middle?

Take your kids out to the Water of Fleet by Sandgreen at low tide.

A P47 crashed off Craigmore Point and I used to find bits of it in the Fleet as a kid.
