Still got a smile on my face after hearing a classic on LGW Approach last week.
Around 11ish number 2 to a XLA 738 and both working 126.82
He was told to ctc Twr and that was that until hearing him frantically asking for landing clearance...Which was passed....After he alnded he then offered Approach a torrent of abuse complaining that getting landing clearance at thirty feet was unacceptable and would be submitting a report....
The response from the Appraoch controller -- " You might want to contact tower 124.22 for parking instructions "
Good example of diving into the S*** with both feet !!!!
No sign at all of an apology !!! Bad form !
