Police in Britain fired their guns just seven times in the last year | UK Politics | News | The Independent (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/uk-police-shooting-statistics-discharge-firearms-figures-freddie-gray-baton-killings-homicide-a7160391.html)

It seems our Police have an aversion to using their weapons.

Or maybe everything is just dandy over there, and they only need their whistles.

Interesting. So using the number of trained officers and actual firings of weapons, an officer can expect to use his weapon once every 800+ years.

I do hope they keep their training current! ;)

They certainly seem to have an aversion to doing their job.

The Deputy Mayor of Basildon caught two burglars and detained them. After a two hour wait for Essex Police to turn up, when he phoned he was told to let them go !

He is suing them.

He should have rung back and told them he had shot them trying to escape. I'm guessing that they'd have soon found a car or ten to send round!

Then he would have been charged with wasting police time...

British police exist primarily to protect criminals from their victims.
