Just a big thanks to the RAF for their warm welcome and fantastic hosting for the RAF Marham families day this year.

Even with current investigation on-going, both Military and Civilian Police and security were polite and helpful.

Thank you

I attended a families day at Marham somewhere around 1975. I think I must have been on leave, as I was able to just come along and watch and wasn't roped in for anything. Highlight of the show then as now were the Red Arrows, flying Gnats then of course. We watched the show from OMQs up on Windy Ridge. In those more relaxed times the Reds did things they certainly wouldn't do now, and I remember one coming very low over our heads and causing an early leaf fall from the trees along the road! Great memories

Having been at Marham late 60's early 70's it was my privilege to go back to a families day in the late 90's courtesy of my son who was there then. All the good displays on show but in my mind the crowd pleaser was the French airforce Mirage(?) he started up, taxied out took off and did the most amazing set of manoeuvres, he taxied back in to a position just in front of the crowd line and got a round of applause (remember it was an RAF audience)as he walked back to the offices. The Marham then was so different to my time on the K1A's but the hospitality just as generous.
