I'm currently in the PH and am looking to get some experience flying here (I have an FAA ATP). I'm specifically looking at Manila or Cebu. Any recommendations about flight schools and which airports are most flexible with practice approaches, or other pertinent info?

Try Clark north of Manila, wont get much done out of Manila as most flying schools have their flying training done out of town at places like Lubang Island or Mamburao etc. Dont know about Cebu but Clark would be an option, look at OMNI Aviation as they have planes based there.

Thanks, I didn't get up to CRK as its a little far, but I think I found a school or two at CEB that's worth checking out. I appreciate the input.

Cebu - Cheynair and there's one more which was previously known as Aviatour.
I flew with Aviatour back in 2009. Cebu Mactan is a great place to fly. Plenty of intl movements, who knows you might get to land with a 777 waiting at the RWY hold posn for dept.
Go for a scenic flight over Chocolate hills, pandanon island etc.
There is also a charter company named Hanul Sarang run by a Korean guy named Mr. Kim. You might want to get in touch with them as well. Mr. Kim also owns a submarine and you can go on a Submarine ride too, just in case you are interested.. Enjoy.

Budget fun flying can be done at Mabiga at Angeles City Flying Club mainly ultralights although its been 20 years since I flew there. Its about 10min drive from Clark.
