Sooner or later he will get to see a Vulcan flying again, all be it a little bit smaller.

I know that they're all impressive (the real ones that is) in their own way but that Victor..it looks like something out of Star Wars.

Redhill,I was driving up the A1 passed Wittering, a filth wet day, low cloud etc when a Mark 2, underwing tanks, over wing chaff pods, Blue Steel missile came screaming over the fence very low. Awesome I thought at first it was s missile.

Agree with all the above wrt the Victor. My first posting was to Wittering in 1966 and, although I was not directly involved with them (I was in the Comcen) it was great to see these magnificent beasts day in, day out.

I always think the Vulcan is attractive, the Victor aggressive.

Excellent.

The Victor always reminds me of a Star Trek Klingon Bird Of Prey

Indeed, in my TV21 annual around 1969/70 ish, one of the stories featured some futuristic craft that the Thunderbirds were saving from disaster - it was a Victor!
