In my day we called them the "Wendy House " and were not that luxurious and the first ones I came across were on the SAA jumbos in the late 80s or 90s but they got little more comfortable in later years

Aahhhh. The best nights sleep you can get! Up in the tail of a 747-400 total darkness, nice rocking and bucking around.

My head touched pillow and I was gone. I am thinking of building one in my loft at home for better sleep.

Awful places that are stuffy, too hot/too cold, too bumpy with mattresses too hard to rest and never long enough to actually sleep. But somewhere nice to escape too for a while. But certainly not a luxury bed in the sky that it's made out to be.
