Hi Peeps,

How did you manage to clock your IF time required by CASA for the CPL licence? Seems boring to clock it for the sake of clocking it.

It clearly need to be clocked while flying dual. Your instructor will most likely have you clock small amounts during parts of your navigation exercises, rather than going flying just for the sake of flying on instruments.

You are paying good money to a flying school. They should be providing you with all this information.
The industry is doomed otherwise!

Your should already have the requires two hours needed for the PPL.
If you have a smart instructor he will turn the return from the training area or a section of a CPL nav flight into an IF segment. It does not take a rocket scientist to build IF time. Then there is always the day that the weather turns non-CPL training flight day, that becomes a good day for some sim time.
