Iron Maiden are playing at Donington Park on Sunday 12th June. They are also playing in Paris on Friday 10th June. Has anyone got any idea when they may arrive using their B744?

Thanks in advance, Andy S :)

The past few gigs they have left the next day for their next destination, generally in the early afternoon with an ETD of 14:00. They are in Arnhem on the 8th and depart Amsterdam for Paris at 1400 on the 9th. So, a good bet would be that they will arrive EMA at around 1415-1430 on the 11th.

Cheers Hotel Tango.

I'll keep an eye out for it. I am going to the concert on Sunday and I was hoping that me and my son would get to see the aircraft on the Saturday.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Cheers, Andy S:D

Brought back some memories. Went to the first monsters of rock at Donnington. Rainbow, UFO, Scorpions, April Wine, Touch, and of course the mighty Saxon.
Altogether now: 'we've got a seven forty seven coming down in the night'.
1980/1 ish. Christ I'm getting old.
Good to see your teaching your son proper music Andy.
Have a great time.
PS. Is Bruce Captain or FO on Ed Force One?

PS. Is Bruce Captain or FO on Ed Force One?

Film footage of him flying EF1 shows him with 4 stripes sitting on the left. Acting as his F/O is also a 4 striper.

Slightly OT but I thought Bruce's "Flying Heavy Metal" series was great !

tj916, you'll be glad to know that Saxon are playing this year as well. They are headlining the 'Maverick' stage. I might well get to see them between Napalm Death and Maiden.

I was there in '81 (More, Blackfoot, Slade, Blue Oyster Cult, Whitesnake, AC/DC) & '82 (??, Uriah Heap, Hawkwind, Saxon, Gillan, Quo). Is the sky still full of flying bottles of pi55?

Me thinks this thread was about Ed Force One and its movements, not personal musical tastes! There have to be other forums for that ;)

Due in 14:10.

Be aware that site on Diseworth Lane by crashgate on north side was 'no waiting' on Wed and reportedly so for duration of download.

PCSO's patrolling were though reasonably tolerant of attended vehicles.

I believe that TF-AAK is approaching the North French coast; as I type this, ETA at East Mids at 14.40 good luck spotters.

Finals 27. Rockers will miss view they'd have had if 09 was used for landing as earleir in week.

Tremendous Andy, is Biff still the frontman?

I'm talking about wheels of steel.

Hotel tango, don't forget you were young once.

It would be great to see ed force one do a max thrust low flyover during the intro to number of the beast. :) :)

Again have a great time.

Rock on.

Hey, what do you mean "once"? ;) Musically speaking I still am but I was just pointing out that this isn't the forum for discussing musical tastes.

How does Bruce pass his hearing test at medicals as he must be as deaf as a post surely?

I'm guessing very small headphones that also act as ear defenders so he doesn't have to rely on monitors to hear what he is singing or what the band is playing.

Could be noise cancelling? Not sure.
