Quite used to the turbine traffic around here with the Caravan floatplanes, Twotters and Saabs but today brought a new turbine whine. Does anyone know anything about the Pilatus Turbo Porter that was stooging around the Loch Lomond area all afternoon?
It looked like it was carrying out pleasure flights as it transited the same reciprocals half a dozen times.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like D-FIPS which is Prestwick based for three months for survey work. Has been going out for up to 6 hours, over the past two weeks to the south of Edinburgh.

There's a Cobham Twinstar based out of Teesside doing similar looking work close to the border. What exactly? I notice G-JPEG doing the same close to L Lomand so I assume that's photography given the reg but there's also another Cobham plane off Lossiemouth.

Does anyone know what they do exactly?
