Hi all,

I'm looking into buying my first plane but I'm at a loss when trying to find available hanger space around the Barossa Valley area, eg Gawler, Truro Flats or preferable Rowland Flat. Does anyone have any leads I can follow or know of anywhere with available hanger space that is close to the Barossa?

Thanks

Beware of using a hanger when storing your aircraft due to the risk of it being dropped and damaged.

It is much safer to leave on the floor in a hangar.

Give a call to Barossa Helicopters. I think they may have built a hangar on their strip, that being said I'm not sure if it's open to anyone but their own family aircraft.

There's a massive, relatively new steel hangar at Stonefield Gliding. It was built for German and Japanese glider pilots in recent years but hasn't been a commercial success. I'm sure that the owner would like to hear from you. The facility has comfortable accommodation units as well. It's very close to Truro Flats.

hjubm2,

Why bother posting if you don't have the courtesy to reply to those who constructively respond to your request? :(

gerry111,

I've been following up on all the leads etc and have not had time to reply until now.

Thanks everyone for all the leads, it's looking like I may have found a hanger with available space near Angaston but we'll see what happens.

Of course, you can always use a hanger in your hangar...

I think the new hangar at Stonefield Gliding was designed to do the same thing.
