VA diverts after MEL lights out

Something about the airlines and the MEL OOL route....

dragging slides, over hours, and now intermittent runway lights...

(only out 30 seconds and there are delays?!?!?!)

I was in the air...it seemed to be very messily handled, with information not being passed on. We became aware of it just after ToD, but I had the impression that it had happened a while back.

Only seemed to be 2 flights went around was watching flightradar24 so hardly a reason to divert
