Sounds like management 101:

Guzzle the cool aid, treat your colleagues inappropriately and blame it on everyone else. :}

The only expertise I have in relation to this event is that I have been out boozing in Bellavista. I was with locals who would generally aim to keep the gringo out of trouble.
My thoughts are that although the most likely explanation is as the judge found it would certainly not be unheard of for someone to have their drink spiked in downtown Santiago!.....man I miss Santiago.

But a drink spiked with cannabis? I mean it's possible but highly implausible.

Where was the Duty of care for both the F/o and the female co pilot
Did someone ensure the F/o was safe once back in the hotel in a drug effected state.
Did anyone provide assistance and counselling to the co pilot.

It wasn't a flight attendant, and the cannabis wasn't detected until return to Australia.

What if his drink was spiked, and then in an inebriated state, he smoked a joint after being offered one?

Cannabis can stay in your system for up to 30 days, so i would give him benefit of the doubt in that regards. As for grabbing boobies while drunk...that's a differrent matter.
