apu fuel shroud drain mast integrity leak check

hye..
just want to ask if anyone here have done the apu fuel shroud drain mast integrity leak check..i just wondering why fuel is needed to be run in the line during this cx because the only thing we want to cx is the shroud itself?

Hi awad,

Can you confirm which A/C you are referring to?

The 737-6/7/8/900 have no requirement for fuel to be in the line.

The check is done using air pressure from the mast end.

Some years ago we have used water on 727's and later on 737's.
You fill the line/shroud at the highest point with water and check for leaks, and check that it comes out of the drain mast. At the end you also empty the line at the drain point in the wheel well
