Tried that, precious little really, couple of decent entries for Falcon and some archived bits from pprune about Blackbushe, no biography or even an obituary that I can find.

David, what in particular is it you want? A general outline of his career or something more specific?

A chronological resume of his flying career would be a great start. I understand he was born in Poland or of Polish parentage and flew in the R.A.F. before his colourful civil career "took off".
Anything would help.
Thanks for your time and trouble,
Be lucky

Trouble is that the people you need to talk to have gone. My best contact for this passed away last year aged 90. He sat through the trial or hearing when Kazubski was explaining why he loaded the life rafts in the hold of his trans Atlantic Constellation in order not to take out that extra row of seats. I met him only once in about 1965. He was not in a good mood, since he had just stepped out of a slightly trashed taxi together with the current 'Miss World'. They had shared from a local hotel to Dan Air's traffic/ramp office LGW. His Connie was operating as BEA ( British East Africa....cheeky ), and I was an Argonaut F/O flying Miss world to an RAF station somewhere up the A1 in order for her to open a new supermarket. I recall Marion K being a bit grumpy. Pity, because at that time my Polish house-mate, also had been a comrade in arms, having escaped from both the Germans and Russians to join the RAF, and they had known each other. Kazubski was a bit scratched and bruised so wasn't really interested in unnecessary conversation. Miss world, I recall was wearing a few tiny spots of unscheduled powdered glitter from the taxi's glass window and her minder/carer/agent lady meanwhile was busy dabbing the girl's visage with a wet hanky or similar. We went our separate ways, and I can report only a missed opportunity to engage with a person of maverick Skytramp royalty. The only other thing I remember from that day was a generous invitation to lunch in the Officers Mess. Our small company ( all self-employed on contract ) had only ever one male cabin crew member.....he swished ahead of us into the mess dining room with his cap on.......the shame...

Try Tony Merton Jones of 'Propliner'. His knowledge of of all things connected to British Commercial Aviation of that time is second to none.

Cally P - would that have been Miss World 1965, Lesley Langley, the British contestant? How can I remember that and cannot remember what breakfast is, let alone what I had. I remember because I was there - the escorts for the Miss World Ball after the contest were my Entry at the Towers, 88. And a good time was had by all. I escorted Miss Jamaica, who had spent most of the week with 139(Jamaica) Sqn at ISTR Wittering. Still a wistful memory.

Try asking on Home | Blackbushe Airport - The one-stop Forum (http://www.blackbusheairport.proboards.com)
People on that forum have a wide knowledge of Blackbushe airlines especially the forum 'owner' who worked there in the 50s.

Don't recall anything much about that 'Miss World'. Just that she and her minders were the sole passengers. Not looked up Kazubski on Google, but I heard that he was hurt at some point when he was at the bar in an airport or hotel in a dodgy part of Africa, and when some form of speedily propelled munition arrived and knocked him off his stool.....pure gossip though.

Good reference for Kazubski's civil aviation activities is the excellent "British Independent Airlines 1946 - 1976". Published by the Aviation Hobby shop.

Some years ago I summarised his career from then available sources for a newsletter for airline postcard collectors which I then was involved with. The article can be found online at
Neue Seite 1 (http://www.aviapc.com/nonmember/newsletter/newslettermain.htm#Worth)

After this link you would then need to click on a link to "Worth a Second Glance the Polish eagle and the Falcon" which should then bring up the article.
