Was Capt David Seath, 31, a fire support team commander in 29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery who was running to raise money for wounded soldiers..

I realise not Aviation, but I still felt he should be recognised here.

Quite right.

Sadly, I watched the paramedics move him into the ambulance but, having already seen a number of people need medical attention at the race, I didn't realise the severity of his condition at the time.

RIP.

I think it would be rather fitting if they would carry his coffin the final three miles before laying him to rest. I'm sure there wouldn't be a shortage of volunteers

Agree it should be here ... we are all of one Brotherhood.

How incredibly tragic. RIP, young Sir.



I'm particularly moved since a friend of mine was competing in the "Blind" section, fund-raising of course. At least she [and her guide] made it, albeit in 6h plus.
