Going flat out successful! Good membership, good calendar of activities, good clubhouse on friendly airport. PM if you want contact details.

Hi Bob, Many years ago someone had a P-51 Mustage down there, is it still around?

Good to hear that it is still active and going well.

Is Trevor Chalk still doing any instructing in that part of the world or retired?

Trev retired from aviation, Mustang still flying! (that is if you mean the replica)

So what is the DAC doing right that other Aero Clubs like the RQAC were not?

So what is the DAC doing right that other Aero Clubs like the RQAC were not? That's easy Lookleft, neither Devonport or Wynyard Aero Clubs have an AOC or any business interests. Both are vibrant clubs with active members, great calendars and busy events. Both operate with a surplus and both have a great future. You can get RAA training at either club but the clubs involvement is limited to providing the building for an outside business in return for new membership.

On top of all that, both are on airports that have a GA friendly policy.
