blood & bone marrow donation

Hello all

I am currently a PPL with JAA Class 2 and CAA Class 1 and a regular blood donor.

Does anyone know if the CAA allow Class 1 holders (CPL pilots)to give blood and if the need arose bone marrow. I know there is obviously a rest period afterwards but cannot find any written information anywhere.

There is an AIC (http://www.ais.org.uk/uk_aip/pdf/aic/4P166.PDF) all about it.
Blood donations = 24 hours min before flight.
Bone marrow that involves a general anaesthetic = 48 hours.
