On Monday I stopped by Blackbushe for a bit of fresh air and sunshine and to see if there was anything interesting around-there wasnt. However Blackbushe being on a sort of plateau has a great big sky feel and look to it and there are always a lot of overflights some of which over time have been quite interesting. Anyway mid afternoon a lovely brilliant white contrail is being towed west to east -sort of Compton-Biggin track and the binoculars reveal a 777 -possibly a A333 with red engines and fin, quite a smart darkish red .

That looked interesting so get FR 24 on the case and it shows a T777 on that track at FL350 but just a generic boeing blue version and no info on destination call sign or registration.

Anyone any ideas what it was pl-no big deal but I am just curious
Tks

Came from Baltimore Washington airport and went to Ramsteine.

Perhap they were subbing for the US military or Government?

PB Blackbushe is my local airfield and I pop in a couple of times a week and get the odd piccy but it is very quiet. If you visit regularly you might like to check this web site:

If it was early afternoon then looks like it was N927AX operating as CMB118 (according to Planefinder).

Very many thanks to all three of you, it was definately the Omni T7 a perfect match and I guess as pseudo military wasn't giving away much in the way of details.

HD many thanks for the Blackbushe forum link, I used to follow the old Farnborough group site that covered EGLK until there was some kind of falling out among the contributors/moderators i think.

I agree its been a bit quiet lately but stopped by today en route Camberlay-Hartley Wintney and three interesting aircraft all withing a few minutes-a hightail Kingair which i didnt get the best view of - a fantastic Cessna Grand Caravan floatplane floats pulling a hard right turn out past the tower. The last one another King Air N238(?) KA -parked facing the wrong way on the ramp and departing with one solitary crew on board.

many thanks again to all
