Does anybody by any chance have access to a flight database? Or know of somewhere I could look it up myself? I am trying to find the reg of the BA 777 that did GIG - LHR on April 20th 2013. It's G-YMML or G-YMMC, not sure.

The BA Source - British Airways Route Tracker. (http://www.thebasource.com/routetracker.html) gives it as G-YMMR. Confused now.

Further question - I assume that for an overnight flight, the date that goes in a pilot's logbook is the date on takeoff, not the date on landing?

Date that you go off blocks, the date on the flight paper work is the day you depart on. The date is reference to GMT of course.

Thanks for the help, all. So just to make sure I have understood this - so this flight, even though it was still the evening of the 19th locally in Rio, would have gone in the pilot's logbook as the 20th?

Hi 750XL,

where did you look that up? Public or private? If it's not public I have a couple more queries
2014-10-30 LHR BOM was it G-STBH ? And when did it arrive?

2013-02-01 GIG LHR G-YMMS time of departure?

The BA Source - British Airways Route Tracker. (http://www.thebasource.com/routetracker.html) gives it as G-YMMR. Confused now.

I would treat the data from thebasource.com (which is unofficial) with caution. For example, it shows several instances during that month where the BAW248 was apparently operated by the same aircraft on two consecutive days, which is impossible.

Further question - I assume that for an overnight flight, the date that goes in a pilot's logbook is the date on takeoff, not the date on landing?Yes, with the further proviso that the times recorded by the crew will be UTC, not local.
