Is there any good reference (pictures in colour) to show examples of aircraft tire wear?

Can't really make out "carcass ply" & "tread reinforcing pply" etc etc from the manuals...

Have you contacted the manufacturer?

Just search: 'tyre wear images' on the net - there are loads.

The Dunlop manual is good. Not so sure it covers those American tire things though!
