I have just had a look at CASA's latest ontrack online guides. It looks to be an update of the earlier Visual Pilot Guides that I have previously used and found very helpful.
CASA OnTrack (http://ontrack.casa.gov.au/index)
I was somewhat amused by the very large disclaimer "CASA accepts no responsibility...."
Two thoughts:
1. The new material doesn't add much that wasn't available in the older guides. Is it a good for CASA to be spending resources here when there are more pressing issues?
2. If the information available in the AIP was presented in a more approachable fashion would there be a need for all of these other support materials?
Its good to see CASA trying assist the VFR pilot but this might be wide of the mark.
Cheers FT
