Really sad news that Ron Souch (ace vintage aircraft restorer) passed away yesterday morning after a long battle with illness.
An iconic and irreplaceable genius.

Ron Souch;
Amazing bloke. What better memorial than the aeroplanes he restored so perfectly. More an artist than engineer, I doubt I have ever met a more knowledgable man on the subject of vintage aeroplanes.

Some of my best memories were working with him at Hamble. He was a great man with so much knowledge of how to do a great restoration. RIP Ron

No better selling point. Hopefully Ron's son Mike will carry on the perfection that was Ron's absolute raison d'etre.
