Hi, i want to know why do I have to descent below an specific altitude when a gravity fuel feeding is to be performed, what happens to fuel at higher altutudes and how this afects the gravity feeding?

Tks

Do you mean "suction" feeding??

Depending on the fuel it might boil at altitude - some helicopters have fuel boost pumps for this reason to prevent cavitation. If they fail, most flight manuals state that you have to descend below 6 000 feet. Probably not so much a factor with modern fuels, but still something to be aware of.
