millions of rand = hundreds of thousands of dollars = a few wings full of fuel = not really that much for a cargo plane to be carrying

but a dead body, bleeding enough to drip on the tarmac, enough for the fuel attendants to notice?

Methinks this is just an overblown incident of the fairly common event of someone sneaking into a landing gear bay and suffering the consequences. The fact that the aircraft is carrying millions of Rand to a South African bank is totally irrelevant. The really interesting part will be if the cash departs with the aircraft and if not,the reasons the Zimbabweans give for keeping it.

Why would the SA port of entry be Durban?

The SARB is in Pretoria.

Maybe ask the SARB, their booked the flight & have openly come out and stated that they are aware of it. Money printed in Germany destined for SA, these type of flights happen all the time from various places in Europe to various places in Africa. No big conspiracy here just a run of the mill charter flight with an unfortunate stowaway who unfortunately died.

Only the pictures on the Internet, not a pretty site but what has that got to do with whether it was a legal charter or not, unfortunately this is not the first or last time an ill informed individual will hid away on an aircraft looking to improve their lives only to end up dead.

Indeed not, but unlike the usual frozen corpse in a wheel well this chap was physically badly mangled and in an avionics bay that could not be opened from the inside. That's what's so odd about it. Avionics don't chew people up.
Plus it seems that the crew might have had some prior knowledge of it. How could they have failed to investigate the bloodstains during their Europe walk-arounds, glibly passing them off as birdstrike? A report elsewhere on this forum states that prior to being made to open the avionics bay door a crew member donned rubber gloves. Rather an odd thing either to make up, or to do?

Why the Nigerian callsign? That looks fishy to say the least. There's more to this than meets the eye.

Once again not an avionics bay, it is # 3 air con pack bay. No access to it in flight. Only two ways in to that bay, # 1 thru the door which we have all seen in the pictures, you would need someone to help with this as there is no way off closing or opening the door from the inside & with out a bit of info the door is not a straight forward latch to open from the outside. # 2 very small access hole via the nose gear wheel well will allow you to enter the air on bays but you have to be a really slim person to get thru there. Blood stains on an aircraft are not unusual, bird strikes all the time, the amount of blood on landing in HRE was extremely unusual wouldn't you put gloves on.

Cargo companies carrying currency for various countries happens all the time. Most times the currency is printed in one place and then transported to another country for a secondary printing and then the final destination for the serial numbers. It's all very secret for obvious reasons.

The poor chap that met his final doom in the AC compartment was most likely a stow away with bad information. He died, he got warm, he bloated and finally bled out. An unfortunate set of circumstances for all involved.
I seriously doubt that the flight crew had one iota about their extra passenger.
A reasonable explanation, that the previous stop, the body was not bleeding that much and the ooze coming out of the AC door was a minimal amount that that could have been representative of a bird strike. After another 8 hours or so, the ooze was probably much worse.

Go have a beer. There is nothing nefarious here.
