One of my folders (mostly jpegs) has suddenly filled up with a bunch of similarly named files but with the .exi suffix!

EXI files seen to be associated with an app from Exida - exida - Software - exSILentia, PHAx, SILAlarm (http://exida.com/index.php/Software/exSILentia/) -

"All-new functionality allows users to follow the entire IEC 61511 / ISA 84 functional safety lifecycle for the first time using a single tool. It also supports compliance with regulations such as OSHA PSM 1910.119 (USA) and Seveso II (Europe)."

Never used it, never heard of it, never used it.

All virus scans clean.

Deleting the .exi files doesn't seem to affect the non-.exi files that open and close without problems.

Any idea what is going on here?
