Hi there.

This is purely me being nosey, but playing golf the last few Fridays and we're buzzed all afternoon by aircraft flying towards Northolt, seems to be the same jets going round and round.

Would that be some sort of training perhaps?

Seems very regular......most weeks? and I was under the impression Northolt had fairly strict limits on movements

As I say, just me being curious!! :ok:

Maybe from Denham?

it won't be from Denham. I grew up in Ruislip Manor and was right under the visual circuit (towards the end of downwind right 25) from the age of 10. The queens Hawkers and even the 146 used to do circuits sometimes. I have no idea why, but they did it on a regular basis. I have flown into Northolt many times and on a few occasions they have let me do the same visual approach and I used my mums old house as a ref point for where to turn base. The islander that doesnt exist flies that circuit almost every day when the weather is nice. I've seen spits, typhoons, tornados, hercules, and all sorts of business jets do that circuit. I have flown it myself in citationjets, phenoms, a challenger and a global express. Long live Northolt - the day they make it into a housing estate is the day the planners have won..

Friday being the busiest day in the week for bizjets, that could be what you're seeing; they're all going away/coming home for the weekend.
