Hello,
I've started my PPL training in Italy. But I don't speak Italian.
Because the English question bank were not clear enough (nobody was sure if they are chosen from CPL question bank in English. usual PPL bank was in Italian), I'd like to take my exams in UK at CATS. So they approved before taking off to UK, because both countries are member of EASA, so it wouldn't be a problem.

I've done all my theoretical exams and came back in November. First I delivered my course completion certificate with results. Then they asked my proof of payment to the ground school because only the certificate is not enough somehow.

After delivering the credit card payment summary, now they are telling me 'you are the first one trying to do it in this way. we expect some more difficulties by arranging your skill test'. It's been 2 months waiting for it right now.

Do you have any suggestion or regulations to show them that I shouldn't need any difficulties do complete both tests in different countries?

Get your logbook certified by the training provider. Obtain your records.
Take your test in the UK with CATS.
Take a refresher since you have not flown for 2+months.
Where was your medical issued?

If you have completed your exams in the UK and done the flying in italy and not done the skills test for the PPL......

Go and get your UK medical, go to a UK flying school and complete training required for skills test and sit the test.

(They may request your training records from italy and your logbook should be stamped anyway under a flying school as being true and correct)

Hours are Hours , if your UK flying school is giving you bull**** , go to another school

Once your licence is issued by the UK, transfer it back to italy ........

I don't quite understand what you are having problems with.......

Answer these questions

Have you passed your PPL and want to do a CPL skills test ?

What exams have you passed PPL or CPL ?

Do you have enough hours for a skills test ?

If you have completed your exams in the UK, print of the exam report on the CAA website

I've done only PPL exams in UK, not skill test.
45 hours of PPL flying is complete.
I already have my exam report and GS certificate.

My problem:
Before taking off to UK to have GS and PPL exams, everybody were telling me it's for sure the UK exams will be fine to have skill test in Italy afterwards. Right now everybody started chewing words in their mouth.
Tomorrow (1st of Feb) they will tell me what's going to be.

OK , if you get a copy of the certificate of approval( granted by the CAA) from your theory provider and present this to the italian flight school, it should be accepted .

But with EASA things are never that easy.

Ok, for now here is the deal,

My GS certificate (both course completion and exam results papers) are granted by CATS. As they are authorized to perform PPL exams on site, not likely as ATPL exams, they signed and stamped my documents.

When my school here applied to Italian CAA to ask for a skill test, the answer was "We need to confirm these papers, because they are not UK CAA approved" and my school was not optimistic by telling me this.

But the thing is, these papers shouldn't be approved by any CAA. All ground schools are authorized to perform PPL exams.

So I've asked them if we have any chance to get my papers approved by UK CAA somehow. Not because of some law/regulation says, but to get around with the never ending demands of Italian CAA.

"All ground schools are authorized to perform PPL exams."

No, they are not.

As today, Italian CAA not rejected, but suspended my skill test application because they require UK CAA approval of my UK PPL exam results.

Course completion certificate (ATO Signed),
Exam results paper (ATO Signed),
Proof of payment (to ground school),
and Ground School ATO Certificate

are not enough Italian CAA to confirm my exam results integrity.

Can anyone tell me how to get my exam results document approved by UK CAA?

You Wont get it....

The CAA grant authority to the flying school for exam approval.

My advice is to sit your flight test in the UK and do a state of licence transfer

Skill test in UK requires medical, couple hours of flying and adopting bunch of new rules that only UK applies :) I think taking a UK skill test is the last option for now.

I'm waiting a response from CAA, both Italian and UK.
There is a shortest way is that taking an Italian CAA English theory exams here, if they don't mess with my UK GS completion certificate either.
